Hair Care Favorite: Dove Hair Care Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner

I have always been adventurous with my hair color. My hair cut, not so much but I remember there was a time – I think this was back in 2011 – when I would color my hair every month. I tried a very vibrant Rihanna red, a warm JLO caramel blonde, a deep Mila Kunis chocolate brown, and an Elvira Mistress of the Dark black within 2 years. Suffice it to say that I abused my hair and although I enjoyed coloring my hair and coming up with new looks to match whatever hair color I had at the time, I did not enjoy the damage it caused my hair. I had to cut off a huge chunk of my waist-length hair (more than 10 inches) and I swore I would never ever ever abuse my hair like that again.

I dyed my hair a deep brown – the closest to my original hair color – and promised that I would start taking care of my hair more. One of the things that I found helped my hair was the Dove Hair Care Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I would try different shampoos and conditioners, but every time I felt like my hair needed a bit more TLC, I would always always go back to this. I like that the scent is not too overpowering, and it leaves my hair feeling healthy and moisturized. I don’t know what sorcery is in these bottles (LOL) but it’s an shampoo/conditioner that actually feels like it repairs dry, brittle, damaged hair. I don’t even have to brush my hair when I use this shampoo and conditioner combo – it just leaves my hair feeling silky and soft and healthy. I am no hair science expert so I can’t tell you what exactly makes this shampoo and conditioner amazing – but trust me when I say that my hair was SO SO SO damaged after all the coloring and styling, and the only shampoo and conditioner I could use for about 6 months straight was this. Other shampoos and conditioners were just too harsh on my then very brittle, very dry, very sad hair but this was quite gentle, but very effective. I had to get this again recently because the summer sun, the heat and the humidity left my hair frizzy and dry. Within a week of using this, my hair looked shiny and not frizzy at all. This Dove shampoo and conditioner never fails in my book! If you have dry, damaged hair, definitely pick this up and give it a go. A must-try, for sure! If you’ve tried it before, I would love to hear what you think – leave me a comment below or connect with me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, I would love to hear from you!
